Berlin, Germany
We are planning our summer dialogue group at Haus Schwanenwerder in Berlin.

tax deductible and would be most appreciated.
One by One, Inc. is a 501C3
non-profit corporation, which has been offering dialogue opportunities
for persons polarized by war and genocide since 1995. Its main focus has
been on persons affected by the Holocaust and the Nazi Regime.
One by One offers a unique
opportunity for people who want to grapple with the fallout of this legacy
together. We invite:
Holocaust survivors and their
descendants
Child survivors
Non-Jewish victims of the Nazi-regime
Descendants of Nazi believers, bystanders and perpetrators
Together we have the opportunity
to join in what others have described as life transforming dialogues.
Our One by One facilitators,
who share these backgrounds, interview and prepare all participants prior
to the group meetings. Participants meet in a safe, supportive environment
while they share personal stories, listening to the truth of each person
in the group. During the structured meetings in Berlin, all participants
have the opportunity to bear witness to what has happened to their families
and to themselves. The leading question is: "How did the Holocaust/
the Nazi-regime affect my life?"
For those returning to the dialogue for the second time, the meetings
offer an opportunity to deepen the journey and share how encounters with
people 'from the other side' have expanded understanding and helped participants
to move forward with their lives. Those who have previously attended a
One by One dialogue are invited to join with those for whom it is the
first journey.
In addition to the dialogue
group sessions, there are opportunities to visit places relevant to the
dialogue such as the Jewish museum, the memorial to the murdered Jews
of Europe, as well as synagogue services. Responses to these experiences
are discussed in the dialogue group meetings.
